This piece was inspired by an old map of Charleston. The base is a beautiful Robin’s Egg Blue and the land masses were created free hand with frit (small pieces of glass) that would chemically react with the blue. I hand painted and hand bent stringers for small details in this piece. Finally it was slumped into a plater form.
