April/May Tuesday Morning 4 Week Fused Glass Class

April 14th-May 5th

9:30 AM-12:30 PM Intermediate

9:45 AM - 12:45 PM Beginners

**Beginners**During these four weeks, Students will learn the fundamentals of glass fusing. They will practice the three basic fusing techniques: “Full Fuse” (Smooth Surface), "Contour Fuse" (Textured Surface) and "Slumping" (Item takes the shape of a mold). Students will learn how to cut glass using various tools, and an introduction to kilns and firing programs will be given. After completing this course, students are eligible to take other fusing classes where they will learn even more specialized fusing techniques. Syllabus and supply list will be provided via email to students prior to start of class

**Intermediate**

working with large decals that can be personal or mass produced.  Making sure you have a base to go with it! 

Materials: Students are responsible to purchase their sheet glass, and kiln shelf paper. Supplies are available for purchase from the instructor. Tools are available for use. Although cost varies due to type, size, and number of pieces made, it is typical to spend approximately $70.00 total. Each student may create up to (2) items each week; not to exceed 10”x 10”. Syllabus and supply list will be provided via email to students prior to start of class.
